10 inch (25cm) batt with inserts to fit the Shimpo Aspire RK-5T wheel.
The Lucky Bat System for Shimpo Aspire consists of one 10" master bat and ten inserts. The master bat in this set is carved from formaldehyde-free 3/4" Medex brand HMR MDF.
The master bat is reversible in that it can be turned over and used as a 10" bat. Engraved guide lines help center your work on the bat. That is especially useful for trimming
Inserts are made of 1/4" (6mm) Baltic Birch Plywood, which is also a premium material. (Unlike masonite)
The benefit of using plywood bats is that they release from clay more readily than plastic, as wood has absorptive properties. This makes removal of the thrown pot from the bat fairly easy. Check out our video showing how easily leather hard clay releases from a bat. No wiring off!
Bat pin holes are sized to fit the M5 cap screws used as pins on the Aspire.
Inserts fit snugly in the bathole and a finger recess helps lift the insert holding your creation from the master bat.

We guarantee that your bat is manufactured accurately and will fit a Shimpo Aspire RK-5T throwing wheel using M6 socket cap crews.
We cannot control how you use, store and care for the product. As they are made from natural fibers, they are subject to movement and swelling or shrinkage depending on the environment they are in.
Therefore, we offer a 14 day money-back refund if there are defects in manufacturing or material which cause the product to be unusable. However, we will not issue a refund if the product has been abused. The user must follow the care instructions included with their purchase. 14 days after delivery, they cannot be returned.

Just started using the batt system. It is very well made and easy to use. My only concern is the inserts are thin and did warp slightly on first usage. I'll flip them over and see how it goes.

Very good customer service, although I have not yet received the replacement bat -- I'm sure Chris will make sure that I do! The actual bat is VERY well made. There was a defect from a new manufacturing process, but Chris sent me (will send me) a new bat made correctly. He also told me how to adjust the one I had to make it work. It really improves the experience of throwing on a Shimpo Aspire. The included bat with the Aspire is flimsy plastic. Lucky Bats bats are 3/4 inch thick, and well balanced. Buy with confidence!
